Commonwealth Announces New Project Manager

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. (Commonwealth) is proud to announce Darren Wells, PE, BCEE, ENV SP as our newest Project Manager and our Indianapolis North Office Engineering Manager.

Mr. Wells has 26 years of experience in consulting engineering as a project manager and engineer in the planning, design, bidding, permitting, construction, and operation phases of water resource infrastructure and treatment systems.  He has completed projects throughout Indiana and in surrounding midwestern states.  His project management experience also includes state and federal funding through various funding organizations.

As the North Office Engineering Manager, Mr. Wells will lead the Indianapolis North Office team, ensuring all projects based out of that location maintain corporate standards and provide the best engineering services our clients have come to expect. Additionally, he will be responsible to oversee day-to-day technical oversight and operations.

Mr. Wells holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Purdue University. He is a registered professional engineer (PE) in Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, and Wisconsin; is a Board-Certified Environmental Engineer (BCEE) in Water Supply/Wastewater; and an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP).  He holds the following affiliations and recognitions: 20-Year Club, Indiana Water Environment Association; Engineering Leadership Program Graduate, Indiana ACEC; Engineering Excellence Awards, Indiana ACEC (Various Projects); American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES); American Water Works Association (AWWA); Water Environment Federation (WEF); Indiana Water Environment Association (IWEA); and Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI).
