Deep Rock Tunnel Connector Receives Local and National Attention
Indianapolis’ largest, and most expensive, sanitary sewer improvments project is making headlines, both locally and nationally, as the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector (DRTC) project gets ready to bid. This $300 million deep rock sewer tunnel is scheduled to bid May 16 with construction possibly starting this September. The DRTC project is the first phase in the City’s federally mandated Consent Decree and part of the $1.7 billion Long Term Control Plan.
As a proud member of the Deep Rock Tunnel Connector (DRTC) design and inspection team, Commonwealth has assisted in the planning and designing of the project, as well as participated in a value engineering session to reevaluate the original design concept.
