L&M Water Utility, Losantville, Indiana
Project Highlights:
- OCRA Funded
- SRF Funded
- Distribution System Improvements
- Regional Project
Project Description:
The L&M Regional Water District constructed a new water main loop around the town of Losantville to eliminate dead ends and promote development and growth in this area. In addition to this, currently, undersized lines known to cause stagnant and discolored water were upsized to provide sufficient flow and pressure. Multiple hydrants and valves that no longer operated were replaced in both the Town of Losantville and the Town of Modoc as a part of this Regional project. Several new hydrants and meters were included in areas known to need isolation or fire protection. All customer meters were replaced system wide in this project, and a Service Line inventory was created as a part of the construction project to meet federal and state requirements.
