Commonwealth Clients Achieve Compliance with Long Term Control Plans, Value Engineering, & Huge Savings!

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. performed a Value Engineering / Alternatives Assessment to the City of Madison’s CSO Collection System Improvements Project.

Highlights:

• Coordination with IDEM to obtain an extension on their LTCP’s required milestone collection system project.
• Proposed alternative to their original design, which is not only estimated to be half the cost of the original project, but also corrected existing deficiencies identified during sewer system modeling.
• The City decided to move forward with the proposed alternative, which is currently under design.
