Great Lakes Basin Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) Public Notification Changes

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently made public a final rule that will require all Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) communities that discharge to the Great Lakes Basin to make changes to their current CSO Public Notification Programs. This Final Rule is effective starting February 7th, and Great Lakes CSO Communities will be required to prepare and submit the CSO Public Notification updates to the Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) on, or before, August 7, 2018.

For additional information on whether you or your utility will be impacted, the types of changes expected to be required as part of the revised Public Notification Plans, and implementation timeframes, contact Brady Dryer.
