Project Spotlight: Highland SSO Remedial Project
The Town of Highland recently reached substantial completion on the SSO Remedial Project Phase 1 Division A project. The Town’s Consent Decree required this project to remove sanitary-to-storm cross connections and mitigate sanitary sewer overflows. Detailed hydraulic modeling helped identify the wet weather flows and the improvements required for compliance.
Grimmer Construction, Inc. constructed the project. It included the installation of approximately 5,080 linear feet of eighteen (18) to sixty (60) inch diameter sanitary sewer via open-cut and trenchless construction methods. Deep portions of the project ranged from twenty-five (25) to over thirty (30) feet deep. In addition, the project also included approximately 1,440 linear feet of water main relocation ranging from six (6) to eight (8) inches in diameter.
