Site Civil Engineer
JOB DESCRIPTION
Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. is seeking an experienced Professional Site Civil Engineer to work out of our Fort Wayne regional office. Qualified candidates should expect to work on a variety of Site Civil projects and be motivated, flexible, and able to work with a team and in a fast-paced environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design institutional, commercial, and residential site development projects
- Perform site reviews and studies to ensure designs are aligned with location specifications
- Perform grading and drainage design
- Permitting and utility design
- Conduct various phases of transportation design
- Hydraulic analysis
- Prepare report figures/documents
- Create Conceptual and Feasibility project evaluations
- Prepare design reports
- Develop contract documents
- Bidding assistance
- Construction Engineering support services
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years of post-bachelor degree experience
- Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the State of Indiana is a plus (or ability to obtain reciprocity)
- INDOT & LPA design and permitting experience is a plus
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis (SSA)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read construction plans and specifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
COMPENSATION
Commensurate with experience and ability plus annual performance bonus.
