New Palestine Wastewater Utility Improvements Groundbreaking

On April 29, the Town of New Palestine held a groundbreaking for the Wastewater Utility Improvements Project, aimed at supporting growth in the community. This project includes:

  • Raw sewage lift station
  • Headworks structure with screening and grit removal
  • Sequence Batch Reactor (SBR) treatment system with blowers, mixers,
  • and decanters
  • UV disinfection system
  • Low-profile cascade aeration system
  • Non-potable water system
  • Chemical feed system
  • Improvements to the bag dewatering system
  • New electrical building
  • Demolition of existing plant equipment and tanks

“This is a project that has been in the works for a long time, and I think I can speak for the rest of the council we are excited to get this going, because it’s needed for the longevity and the growth of New Pal,” said Council Vice President Chad Molinder.
