Long Term Control Plan Improvements
City of Crown Point, Indiana
Commonwealth Engineers performed a Long Term Control Plan improvements for the City of Crown Point. It included:
ANDERSON POND PROJECT
The Crown Point Anderson Pond Project is a Long Term Control Plan (LTCP) project implemented to reduce the number of Combined Sewer Overflows (CSOs) at the WWTP. As a result of the Anderson Pond project, the City has noted a decrease of some 80% of their historical CSOs at the WWTP.
FLOATABLE CONTROLS PROJECT
This project provides upgrades to the City’s existing overflow points in compliance with the State and Federal Nine Minimum Controls for floatable solids removal. Floatable control structures were then designed for the three (3) existing discharge points.
CSO LIFT STATION
The project includes 40 MGD wet weather lift stations and associated controls. This is an LTCP project implemented to eliminate CSOs to IDEM/EPA-specified perimeters.
