Crown Point Sewer Improvements
City of Crown Point, Indiana
As part of the Long Term Control Plan, the City of Crown Point continues to find grant funding and savings options for necessary infrastructure improvement projects. In partnership with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the sewer improvements were completed to reduce potential groundwater pollution from the leaking sanitary sewer system and prevent residential backups.
This project consisted of lining approximately 1,600 linear feet of existing sanitary sewer lines as well as inspection of manholes and repairs as needed. $750,000 of federal funding was used to complete these improvements, with the City of Crown Point contributing $242,000 in local match funds.
