The project includes but is not limited to the replacement of selection sections of the Town’s water mains with a new 6-inch diameter water main. The work included the replacement of approximately 3,500 LF of the water main, isolation valves, fire hydrants, surface restoration, traffic control, erosion control, and all other work to return the distribution system to service. Other improvements included the replacement of all of the Town’s customer meters with an AMR-compatible drive-by reading system. The work included installation, software installation, software service for ten years, meter pit adjustments, billing software adjustments, and all other work required for a fully operational customer metering system. Treatment plant improvements included the replacement of the water treatment plant filter media and the repair of the filter underdrain. The work included disposal of spent media, welding repairs, filter coating, and all other work to return the filter to service.
