Supporting Small Towns, Making A Big Difference

The Town of Fairmount, Indiana is known as the hometown of the famous James Dean as well as Garfield creator, Jim Davis. Every year, the town hosts the James Dean Festival, bringing guests from all over the country to enjoy this small-town community and all it has to offer.

Commonwealth Engineers was once again the proud sponsor of the annual Garfield Races (Rebel with a Cause 5K and Garfield’s Great Race). Race proceeds go to the following children’s needs: Promoting Healthy Lifestyles for Children in Fairmount, Educational Scholarships, and Childhood Cancer Research.

Small communities such as the Town of Fairmount continue to be a vital part of what makes Indiana such a great place to live and work. They work together for the good of, not only their community, but surrounding communities. They are the heart of of all that makes Indiana great: hard working and giving individuals who look for ways to make a positive impact for the health and vitality of future generations.
