ORSANCO Pollution Control Standards Review

Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) Pollution Control Standards Review

If your wastewater treatment facility discharges treated effluent directly to the Ohio River, you should be aware that the ORSANCO Pollution Control Standards are currently under review, and proposed changes are now on public notice through February 24, 2018.

Such reviews take place every three (3) years, and this review is unique in that it evaluates whether or not ORSANCO should continue to maintain, administer, and periodically update the standards, or defer to the respective States to implement their own Water Quality Standards.  Additional information on ORSANCO’s Pollution Control Standards review can be found at the following link: http://www.orsanco.org/programs/pollution-control-standards/.
