City of Shelbyville Receives OCRA Funding
On Thursday, October 15th, Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch visited the City of Shelbyville to present the City a grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).
The grant will partially fund improvements to the City’s Meridian Park Detention Basin which consists of a dual relief sewer diversion to temporarily store excess stormwater runoff in a detention basin. The City has a history of flooding in the 2nd St. to Evans St. block areas. This project will reduce future flood risk and associated property damage.
