Commonwealth Engineers Announces Staff Promotions

Commonwealth Engineers, Inc. announces the promotion of three staff members to the Associate Program. The Associate Program exists to develop talent within our organization and provide growth opportunities to develop into future leadership roles.

Jeremy Schmitt, P.E.

Jeremy joined Commonwealth in 2017 and works in our Indianapolis Office. He has 23 years of experience in the planning, modeling, design, permitting, bidding, and construction of wastewater, drinking water, stormwater, and site design projects for municipal and private clients. He also has experience with small road improvement projects. Jeremy is licensed in Indiana.

Andrew Cochrane, P.E., CFM

Andrew joined Commonwealth in 2020 and is based in our Indianapolis office. Andrew has over 26 years of experience managing and designing infrastructure projects, including interceptor sewers, lift stations, force mains, wastewater treatment plants, storm sewers, and water distribution systems.  His holistic and team-oriented approach to project management yields a high level of assurance and confidence to clients.  Andrew is licensed in Indiana.

Ryan LaReau, P.E.

Ryan joined Commonwealth in 2018 and is based in our Crown Point office. He has 11 years of experience in roadway, water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. He has also worked extensively on MDOT jobs, including airport and highway projects. Ryan has experience as an engineering technician, inspector, design engineer, and construction engineer on various design projects. He has also completed multiple asset management plans and preliminary engineering reports for various water and wastewater systems. Ryan is licensed in Indiana and Michigan.
