Commonwealth Long-Time Clients Receive Substantial EDA Grant Funding
On Tuesday, July 19th, the Economic Development Administration announced grant investments in the City of Huntingburg and Rensselaer, Indiana. The Economic Development Administration is a federal agency that plays a critical role in facilitating regional economic development in communities across the nation.
The City of Huntingburg was granted $3.2 million for their Wastewater Treatment Plant Project, under EDA’s Economic Adjustment Assistance program. The grant will be invested in upgrades to the plant that will facilitate regional business growth in Dubois County.
The City of Rensselaer was granted $1.8 Million for their Downtown Revitalization Project, under EDA’s Travel, Tourism, and Outdoor Recreation Program. The grant will be used to construct new sidewalks, pedestrian/bicycle paths, ADA accessibility, stormwater improvements, new lighting, and other enhancements on Van Rensselaer and Harrison Streets.
